Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Indian Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic (INDCHAM) have signed a momentous Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) last week in New Delhi, India on July 21, 2023. The collaboration document was signed by the esteemed President, Mr. Rakeeish B Taurani marking a significant step towards strengthening business ties between Slovakia and India.
Established in 1927, FICCI is not only the largest but also the oldest apex business organization in India. Its history is deeply connected with India's journey towards independence, industrialization, and emergence as one of the world's fastest-growing economies. NDCHAM is a young nonprofit organization established in 2016 in Slovakia and inaugurated by Ambassador Param Jit Man of Indian Embassy and Deputy Minister of Commerce in the Slovak Republic. Ever since INDCHAM conducted 30+ trade missions to India and brought many Indian entrepreneurs and policy makers to Slovakia.
As a non-government, nonprofit organization, FICCI serves as the powerful voice of India's business and industry. It plays a important role in influencing policies, fostering constructive debates, and engaging with policymakers and civil society to represent the interests and concerns of the industry. With a diverse membership base from the Indian private and public corporate sectors, as well as multinational companies, FICCI reaches out to over 250,000 companies, making a significant impact on the Indian business landscape.
FICCI also provides an invaluable platform for networking and consensus building within and across sectors. As the first point of contact for Indian industry, policymakers, and the global business community, FICCI is instrumental in creating meaningful connections and opportunities for growth and development.
