Harish ReddyHarish Reddy started his career in the Indian pharmaceutical industry after finishing his MBA in International Business from the Institute of Technology and Management in Mumbai. He had the opportunity to work for major Indian pharmaceutical companies such as Piramal Healthcare Ltd and Reliance Life Sciences Ltd developing business for the companies’ pharmaceutical products and services in the Middle Eastern and African countries. Responsibilities encompassed travelling extensively in the respective countries to develop partnerships for marketing, arranging regulatory documents for registering the drugs and overlooking the supply chain for timely delivery of products and services.

He further had the opportunity to strengthen his skills by working in India’s apex diamond trade chamber the Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) which was setup by India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry as a business compliance officer. One of his job responsibilities included working for the secretariat of the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme which was setup in 2003 following a United Nations Mandate to stop the trade in conflict or ‘blood’ diamonds. Whereas in the Council he worked extensively in developing Indian Diamond and Jewellery business globally.

Due to his experience in KP he was exposed to a myriad of policy challenges faced by the KP. This has invigorated his interest in understanding the policy process of any global organization. With the backup of my past experience hehad been accepted into the Master’s program in Public Policy and Human Development of United Nations University in Maastricht, Netherlands specializing in Foreign Policy and Trade Development.

Harish Reddy brings with him a diverse and extensive global experience into the Management of the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Culture in the Slovak Republic focusing on promoting and facilitating trade between the Slovak Republic and India. He is based in Mumbai and is coordinating local business activities in coordination with Slovakia office.
