More about the event

Slovak Agency for Investment and Trade Development (SARIO) in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy is preparing the 9th session of the Joint Commission between the Slovak and India Republic on April 21, 2017, in Bratislava, in the Hotel Borik. Part of the Commission and business forum will be focus on bilateral negotiations between Slovak and Indian businesses in different sectors of the economy.

WHY INDIA?

India is currently one of the fastest growing economies in the world, their capacities and capabilities competes with its northern neighbor China.

Demographic advantage gives India the world's largest potential consumer market with 250 million-middle class that has the potential to increase in the near future.

From the perspective of Slovakia, the Indian market represents an opportunity for business cooperation particularly in the defense industry, energy, infrastructure, automotive and railway industry, agriculture and food processing, ICT, environmental technologies and renewable energy, water and waste management.

In addition to the above industries and sectors other companies are also welcome at the event. The involvement of business in a different subject for companies who want to develop their activities in the Indian market.

A special message from Co-Director of FICCI and Head of European Division

I am pleased to inform, to re-energise and extend renewed impetus to India’s trade and economic relations with Slovak Republic, FICCI is organising a business delegation to coincide with scheduled 9th India-Slovak Republic Joint Economic Commission in Bratislava on April 21, 2017.

Slovakia remains one of the most promising Central European economy boasting of a good physical infrastructure, key geographical location and a skilled labour force.

A senior Govt. of India official shall lead the official Indian delegation to Slovak Republic.

The delegation would have a focus on renewable energy, automotive, engineering, defence, chemical and pharmaceuticals, ICT, waste water management, construction and infrastructure modernization. The planned visit would extend an ideal opportunity for the Indian businesses to interact with Slovak senior officials and business leaders.
